LABORATORY SELECTION
EcoChem chemists offer both laboratory and consulting experience, which
is invaluable in anticipating both our clients' needs and the laboratory
constraints. The chosen laboratories should demonstrate experience with
the required methods and sample matrices to be analyzed. We review laboratory
Quality Assurance Plans to ensure their compliance with project requirements;
provide assistance to the project team in selecting qualified laboratories;
help to negotiate laboratory contracts; coordinate sample delivery and
data reporting requirements.
LABORATORY AUDITING
Laboratory pre-qualification and performance audits should be considered
when building an analytical project plan, given the cost of sampling and
the importance of decisions to be taken based on the resulting data. The
combined laboratory experience and quality assurance training of EcoChem
staff ensure that our auditors target key areas and that our audit findings
are relevant and well-documented.
EMERGING CONTAMINANTS
EcoChem staff has worked closely with laboratories that specialize in
analyses for emerging and trace-level contaminants. Recent examples include:
